Cudi on the T.V.

Cudi’s been in the limelight thanks to his individual approach to hip-hop and his big hommie putting him on, but Cudi’s stepping into acting early in his career as a fame catcher. His new endeavor How To Make It In America has been catching a lot of attention lately, partly to it being a brand new series on HBO with the surrounding scenes of N.Y but also due to Hip-Hop’s own taking a part in the cast. Co-Stars including Bryan Greenberg, Luis Guzman and Victor Rasuk also made the cut in the show some say resembles the plot of Entourage. While the show doesnt premier on the premium channel until the 14th, the public can watch the whole first episode via YouTube, courtesy of HBO.

The Kid’s also mixing his two passions and has compiled a How To Make It In America The Mixtape, Download here, featuring Lupe, and The Lox, hosted by Green Lantern.

Lil’ Wayne Sentencing Postponed To March 2nd

The Source Magazine was the first on the scene in Manhattan Criminal Court at 100 Centre Street for what could have been the last public sighting of Cash Money Records number one cash cow for several years. He was scheduled to be remanded into custody & start his jail sentence today 02/09/10. Outside the courthouse was an absolute zoo, a schmorgesbourg of media, fans, well wishers and of course haters. The Docket read “Supreme Court Of The State Of New York, County of New York”. Dwayne “Lil Wayne” Carter was named as defendant #32 in case number 06549-2007 and his bail status was listed as (B).

Proceedings didn’t get underway until the second half of the day when court started sharp at 2:15 P.M. . Wayne was accompanied by several members of his Cash Money records crew including Baby, and Slim. Mike Mills of Young Money was also present by his bosses side for moral support as well. Wayne wore a pair of black frames, a blue wind breaker, black long john style shirt, black Dickies pants, and a black pair of Chuck Taylors. He sat in the second row to the front on the left had side pensive and reflective not saying a word.

His docket was the first to be called as the bailiff proclaimed “People of New York Verses Dwayne Carter!” Dwayne stepped up to the left side of the bench to meet his fate. His lawyer Stacy Richman stepped up to the right side of the bench and let the judge know that Mr.Carter wouldn’t be able to start sentencing today due to a fracture in his Jaw. The district attorney’s office was already aware of his condition and they agreed to adjourn the proceedings until March 2nd at 2:15 sharp. In the mean while Wayne is supposed to under go surgery on his mouth in Florida. Judge Solomon sternly warned that this would be the very last adjournment before sentencing.

Snoop Dog Marches in Adidas x Star Wars Imperial March to Celebrate Sneaker Collection

This morning (Feb. 4th) Adidas held a re-creation of the Imperial March from Star Wars in Times Square to commemorate the Adidas x Star Wars collaborative sneaker collection. Snoop Dogg was in attendance, leading a battalion of stormtroopers with Darth Vader. Kiante the Sneakerman was there as well, and got some pictures of the sneaker collection and festivities.
